Boys Basketball Tryouts 2025-26 ***UPDATED 10/22***
7th grade boys basketball tryouts will be 11/3, 11/5, & 11/10 after school until 4:30. 8th grade tryouts will be 11/3, 11/5, & 11/6 after school until 4:30. All students MUST have a completed physical turned in to Mr. Trombley in order to tryout. If you played football, your physical is good for boys basketball. Please check with Mr. Trombley to make sure he has your physical before tryouts begin. If you need to get a physical done, you can get one done today at any urgent care or CVS Minute Clinic. Email Mr. Trombley ([email protected]) with any questions.
Algonquin Boys Basketball Remind101
After the cuts are made for the boys basketball team, all boys and their parents need to sign up for the Algonquin Boys Basketball Remind 101. To sign up text @8h8kg89 to 81010 or click the link below.

After a student makes the cut for the basketball team, there are additional steps that need to be completed.
Online Paperwork- Student-athletes and parents need to go to FamilyID.com and go to the “Find a Program” section to search for Algonquin. This will bring you to a heading that says Chippewa Valley High School. Below that heading your will see “Algonquin Athletic Registration”. Click that to complete the paperwork for basketball.
Pay for Warm-up T-shirt- About a week after cuts are made, Mr. Trombley will be assigning a fee to each player in PaySchools Central for their warm-up t-shirt. Mr. Trombley will send a Remind101 out when the fee is assigned to all of the players. Parents can check PaySchools Central periodically to see if the payment is there and can be paid.
