Project Unify is a mentorship program for students with disabilities, sponsored by Special Olympics. Project Unify is an education-based project that uses the sports and education programs of Special Olympics to activate young people to promote school communities where all young people are agents of change – fostering respect, dignity and advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities. We believe that through sports, young people can make a difference in friendships, schools and communities.

Our club is for students in the CLP program to join with general education peer mentors as partners in sports and activities. This will be our first year expanding opportunities for our club members to be able to work with 3 elementary schools (Miami, Cheyenne, Sequoyah) in our district and 2 MISD programs. We will still be doing a combination of meetings during "A Lunch" at both the 10-12 and 9GC in addition to our after school meetings at the schools above and the 10-12 building. The same team of 10-15 students will be arriving to each school. Please contact Mrs. Korneffel for the list of dates.
Our club sponsor is Nadine Korneffel, Social Worker. Please contact Mrs. Korneffel at 723-2764 ([email protected]) with any questions.
