The Science Olympiad team competed over the weekend against 55 teams from around the state.  Top finishers were:

Zach Kraemer and Carson Shearer- 10th place Robot Tour

Laura Brown - 15th place Disease Detective

Zach Kraemer and Jessica Davis- 18th place Write it Do it

Congratulations also to Alex Wolfe, who was selected to give a She Talk at the Women's Summit in Grand Rapids this past weekend.

The 1st place winners of the Key Club’s canned food drive contest are Ms. Moore’s class with 310 cans, 2nd place goes to Mr. Steffer’s class with 167 cans and 3rd place to Ms. Bourgeiois class with 81 cans.  Special thanks to Ms. Gilbert for donating 208 cans! Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported their canned food drive. All food was donated to Clinton Township Kiwanis and members of the CVHS community will have food delivered to them by Kiwanis.

Shortly after the conclusion of announcements we will hold an Avoid, Deny, Defend drill.  Clinton Township Police are here to help with the drill. To begin the drill we will activate one of our blue pull stations. This will initiate an announcement to lockdown. At that point you will avoid or deny, which means evacuate or lockdown in your classroom. That decision is made based on the information that you have available to you at the time. The most likely response is to lockdown and to barricade the door, but some classrooms may have a clear exit route and choose that option. The drill will end when your classroom is unlocked and an announcement is made.

Senior Photo retakes will take place in the auditorium lobby this morning from 8:30 until 10:00. 

The 4th annual Christmas Tree decorating contest begins today. Stop by the Media Center to pick up your tree and decorate it based on your favorite book. Return the decorated tree by Dec 4th.

  There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting this Wednesday at 6:30am in room 227. 

Recently Clinton Township instituted a $100 civil fine for the first offense of fighting in school. We've recently learned that there is also a $150 court fee, so the full cost of fighting is $250, along with school consequences. Remember that there are better ways to resolve conflicts and every adult at CVHS is here to help you.

Key Club will be hosting the annual canned food drive during 1st hour ONLY from Wednesday, November 6th - Wednesday, November 13th. The top 3 classes will receive a doughnut and juice party.  All cans/non-perishables will be donated to the Clinton Township Kiwanis.  

We are bringing the Rowdy Red Zone to the CVHS Auditorium for Student Night for our school musical, Cinderella! CVHS Students can purchase discounted tickets for student night, which is on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00pm. See attached flyer for more information.

Try-outs for the Competitive Cheerleading teams will be held on November 12th and 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Aux gym. You will then be given a specific time to report on Friday, November 15th.  Try-out packets are available in the Athletic office.

Chippewa Valley Band Boosters are proudly hosting our 30th annual Craft Show! This is the largest representation of crafters in several years, over 200. We are using multiple areas of the high school to provide an amazing experience. There will be concessions (with more tables to sit down), our Holiday Band playing lovely tunes, and a chance to win prizes including a 75” Toshiba Smart TV! Join us for our biggest event yet!  $3 admission - No strollers - Free parking  All proceeds benefit the Chippewa Valley High School Band and Guard Programs.
