Notice of Chippewa Valley Schools Board of Education Vacancy

The Chippewa Valley Schools’ Board of Education is seeking applications to fill one (1) vacant position on the Board. The vacant position has a term through December 31, 2028.  An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position until the November 3, 2026, elections have been held and certified and a newly elected individual has been sworn-in to fill the remainder of this position’s term. 

An individual who meets the following criteria is eligible for a position on the board:

  • At least 18 years old; 
  • A registered voter in the school district where he or she is a candidate;
  • A citizen of the United States;
  • A resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days; and
  • A resident of the school district.

Interested persons must submit applications which include the following:

  1. A resume, which includes the Applicant’s address, telephone number, and e-mail address; and
  2. A letter of intent expressing interest in the board position and qualifications for the position.

Applications must be received via email at [email protected] no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 21, 2024.

Following a review of the submitted materials, the board will schedule interviews with selected candidates. Not all candidates for the board vacancy will be interviewed.
